Why Poiema Christian Fellowship?
Many people that do not attend church have remarked that they “love God or Jesus” or that “they are Christians and read the Bible” but “they NEVER want to step into a church again!” Perhaps it is because of past experiences where they were hurt or abused? Perhaps they are tired of hypocrites and judgmental behavior? Perhaps they fail to see the relevance and reality of the church? Perhaps they feel lost and alone in a church because of its size or they have not found a place to fit in?
God has burdened our hearts with the desire to demonstrate His power and purpose through the church by:
Creating a community that teaches God’s word as the ultimate authority…
Gathering together in open, honest and accountable relationships…
Seeking God’s sovereign direction and intimate presence in our daily lives.
We want to focus on those areas of church life that matter most like: worship, doctrine, prayer, personal growth, evangelism, fellowship, and family. Therefore buildings, money, programs and paid positions will not be the goals of our ministry but will be subject to God’s will, timing, purpose and provision. PCF does not claim to be the only church nor does it claim to be the only way to do church but we seek to offer a place where those who need an intimate, less traditional, gospel centered worship experience can fellowship.
